Spastic Spoons

Music and Comedy Entertainment

Dave Harmer and Ron Barb epitomize the laid back, have fun attitude reminiscent of the spasm bands of the period known as the "Gay '90's" (1890's). Dave's dexterity on the spoons, along with Ron's varied musical accompaniments, and their combined comedic abilities, make a novel entertainment package.

Dave, a bone player, has converted this now rare talent into a unique way of playing spoons,
with subtle variations in rhythms, tones and gestures.

Ron is a vocal entertainer, often accompanying himself on one of an assortment of instruments.
Audience Members are encouraged to sing along.

Dave and Ron, who have each entertained individually for many years,
have recently combined their talents to form Spastic Spoons.

Spastic Spoons has performed recently in the Toronto - Belleville area for:

  • Church Groups
  • Schools
  • Seniors Clubs
  • Service Clubs
